Acronis Files Connect is the upgrade path for Acronis Access Connect and ExtremeZ-IP users. It includes all the features of these earlier products, plus a new Mac client application for locating and searching file shares and printer. Acronis Files Connect carries on as our flagship product for Mac / Windows integration, file server and print server access.
If you currently have Acronis Access Connect or ExtremeZ-IP installed, the Acronis Files Connect installer will upgrade you automatically and all settings and configuration will be retained.
Note: Acronis Files Connect is not compatible with Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials.

- Acronis Files Connect 11.0 adds support for the following operating systems:
- macOS 11.0 Big Sur
- Updated the Acronis Content Indexing engine to use version 7.95 of dtSearch.
- Implemented default limit for the file’s content indexing.
- Updated the “Service Discovery” Settings tab.
- Added “Activity (cmds/min)” column in the User window for the system administrator to see each session’s activity, measured in AFP commands per minute.
- Fixed a bug where ”LocationZone” field in Settings is only active if Primary Server has been entered.
- Fixed a rare application crash when indexing files with corrupted metadata.
- Fixed compatibility issue when adding printers using the Acronis Files Connect Mac client application in HSTS environment.

- With the release of Acronis Files Connect 11, support for the legacy GroupLogic AppleTalk network protocol has ended. Apple Filing Protocol, the native file sharing protocol for Macs popularly abbreviated as AFP, will continue to be served via TCP/IP, as TCP/IP continues to be supported by macOS.
